Saturday, February 27th, to both commemorate and continue the tradition of progressive activism, thousands will meet to march for human progress. At 9:30 AM, the tradition continues as supporters of civil rights will silently march on J Street. Marchers will begin at Shaw University in front of Estey Hall. The meeting place is significant because it is the location where the original Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee was formed 50 years ago.
In times of economic recession and hardship, it is now more important than ever to support causes that promote the advancement of any group. Please join us, and citizens from across North Carolina, in marching this Saturday.
