BREAKING NEWS: Right Wing Trying to Force Vote on Anti-LGBT Constitutional Amendment
5/16/2007 - This afternoon Rep. Tim Moore (R-Cleveland) and Rep. Linda Johnson (R-Cabarrus) announced they will seek to recall the proposed anti-gay, anti-marriage constitutional amendment, from committee and force a vote on the House floor on Tuesday, May 22. Equality NC is working to stop this attempt to write discrimination into our constitution.
In order to recall the bill from the Rules Committee, amendment supporters will need 72 of the 120 members of the House to support their efforts.
