Volunteer

Volunteers are critical to our success. Whether helping out in the office, attending a mailing party, or building support in your community, we have a way you can make a real difference for North Carolina's LGBT community!

We send out volunteer alerts via email to let you know about mailing parties and special events where we're gathering contacts. Click here to sign up for email updates and alerts from us, click here to join the Equality NC Action Network.

Organizing Volunteers

Help us combat the anti-LGBT constitutional amendment and other important legislation. Help us collect postcards and petitions to legislators to show the legislature that North Carolinians support LGBT issues. Help us circulate these at community events, local organizations, churches, and college campuses. Contact our community organizer Sam Parker at sam@equalitync.org.

Office Volunteers

We have a need for weekly volunteers to help us with routine tasks in the Raleigh office. If you can spend a few hours per week helping our administrative coordinator Shawn Long, please contact him at 919-829-0343 ext. 114 or shawn@equalitync.org.

Fundraising Volunteers

If you would like to help with our regional receptions, our new PAC reception, or the Equality Conference & Gala, please contact our director of development Kay Flaminio at 919-829-0343 ext. 112 or kay@equalitync.org.

Conference & Gala Interns

We have a need for interns to assist with planning and participation in Equality NC's annual (November) Conference & Gala. To get involved with this exciting event, please contact Jen Jones at jen@equalitync.org.
